In 2004, Low & Bonar PLC, the parent company of Bonar Yarns & Fabrics Ltd, announced the establishment of a joint venture company in China, named Yihua Bonar Yarns and Fabrics Co. Ltd, in partnership with Yihua Group of Sinopec Corporation. The joint venture is a positive growth opportunity for the markets of North Asia and, in addition, provides a local platform from which to further consolidate Bonar’s position in the Chinese artificial grass market.
In 2005, Low & Bonar PLC further strengthened Bonar’s position in the artificial grass industry with the acquisition of Xirion NV, a Belgian producer of monofilament artificial grass yarn.
These two sites, in addition to the artificial grass yarn headquarters in Dundee, serve Bonar well in all areas of the globe, with quality products and excellent service.
